As far as influential designer brands go, Prada and its sister brand Miu Miu take the cake these days. Over the past several years, multiple trends were first spotted on Prada and Miu Miu runways, and this summer’s trends are no exception. In fact, you may not even realize some of the trends you’re already wearing were birthed by one or both of these brands.

I didn’t see a pencil skirt comeback coming until Prada boldly sent them down the runway. Now I can’t stop thinking about them and how chic they are.

The fashion crowd’s favorite way to wear the season’s hottest (no pun intended) color is via unexpected accents. This Prada styling is the goal.

Miu Miu and Prada’s “pants-less” skirt look may leave you wondering where you’d wear such a look, but brands have interpreted the trend as miniskirts with a sheer layer of tulle over them. It’s sheer styling made easy.

Layering tissue-thin tees on top of each other is a messy-chic trend that Miu Miu started singlehandedly.

Miu Miu’s logo headbands are undeniably chic, but you could also get one on Amazon for just a few bucks.

The cargo trend is hardly new anymore, but thanks to Miu Miu, the pockets are getting bigger and bigger. This trend may be specific, but it’s one Miu Miu has really leaned into this summer.

The Barbie pink trend was growing before Prada endorsed it, but once they did, it became more than a passing fad.

Satin comes back around every few seasons, and Prada is doing their part to usher it in for 2023. How stunning is this dress?

Wearing sequins outside of the holidays has become perfectly acceptable, and Miu Miu helped to make it so. You can even get away with wearing sequins during the day at this moment in time.

Some would say Chartreuse is the new Kelly Green, and Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons appear to agree.
