Naturally derived skincare has become pretty buzzy in the past few years, but it’s tricky to say what truly qualifies as organic. The FDA doesn’t exactly define or regulate the term when it comes to cosmetics, bodycare, or other personal-care items. That’s why it’s a good idea to do your research if you’re on the hunt for a good product or two that contain nontoxic ingredients.

That being said, there are still so many wonderful brands and retailers out there (shout-out to Credo Beauty!) that hold themselves to a stricter standard when it comes to the ingredients used in the products they sell. Although the products listed below contain organic, skin-loving ingredients and are formulated without harsh toxins, you can’t say a lot of these options are 100% organic. Many beauty products generally need at least a few synthetic ingredients to stay stable or keep them from going bad too quickly. Just something to keep in mind when shopping for organic skincare. If you’re on board and are looking for a few new goodies to try that fall into the youth-enhancing camp, scroll through and find some highly natural picks below.

I know you all love the ethos of French minimalism as much as I do, so you’re definitely going to want to try Typology—a Paris-based skincare brand that uses simple, high-quality ingredients. The brand’s Hydrolate Organic Orange Blossom toner revives radiance and helps the skin to regenerate.

Evolve Organic Beauty’s Superfood 360 Serum is packed with superfoods, rose water, aloe, and more to target fine lines and age spots. It aims to leave skin looking and feeling more than rejuvenated.

Versed is another brand we appreciate that utilizes natural and nontoxic ingredients, all for an affordable price point. The brand’s Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream is a light moisturizer that contains green tea extract and aloe leaf juice to soothe redness and inflammation while fighting free radicals.

Let’s face it: Living in a major city comes with some serious pollution. Your skin can get really congested without proper care. Klur’s Symmetry Fluid Anti-Pollution serum is a blend of vitamins, antioxidants, and rich phytonutrients that keep the skin balanced and protected from free radical damage.

I have to say, Alpyn’s wildcrafted formulas are unlike any others out there. Its radiance-boosting Bearberry & Vitamin C Glow instantly brightens and evens your skin tone. It also contains plant-based AHAs that gently resurface your skin to keep it looking its most youthful.

You know we always stress paying attention to the neck area here, so this One Love Organics cream is a great option to keep things a bit tighter. It’s formulated with active plant cell technology from barbary figs that helps reduce fine lines. Add in hyaluronic acid, and you have yourself the perfect cocktail for revitalized skin.

This sleep mask is a serum and moisturizer in one that features bakuchiol as its star ingredient—a plant-based retinol alternative that produces a similar youth-enhancing effect. The formula also boasts a high dose of superfruits and upcycled fruit-seed oils that help smooth fine lines and prevent water loss that can occur overnight.

Tata Harper’s line for sensitive skin is gentle and hypoallergenic. The Superkind Bio-Barrier Serum is great for reactive skin and smooths, firms, and brightens. It’s also completely nut-free and fragrance-free for those of you who may be allergic.

Including youth-promoting ingredients like vitamin C, chlorella, fruit extracts, and reishi, this serum from Mara goes the extra mile to produce that next-level glow.

Undefined Beauty also features high-quality, plant-rich formulas that deeply nourish the skin without an overly hefty price tag. The brand’s R&R Cleanser is a true multitasker with aloe, green tea, Gotu Kola, shiitake mushroom, niacinamide, and licorice root to detoxify, tone, and brighten.

Osea’s hyaluronic serum provides a nutrient-rich boost to the skin’s natural moisture levels with hyaluronic acid and three different seaweed extracts.

This Vintner’s Daughter serum is loaded with radiance-restoring botanical ingredients and is one of my all-time favorite organic products. Normally, I’m not huge on face oils, but this one is in its own category completely. I had the privilege of speaking with the brand’s founder, April Gargiulo, about the 21-day infusion process used to make the product—it’s truly unlike anything I’ve ever seen. You can tell a lot of thought was put into this serum, and the results really don’t lie. It has everything your skin could ever need to stay incredibly youthful, including restorative phytoceramides, phytonutrients, balancing minerals, brightening vitamins, free radical–fighting antioxidants, moisturizing fatty acids, and nourishing omegas.

For a nice eye salve, try African Botanics’ Marula Resurrection Eye Cream. It was produced in South Africa using active plant ingredients, marula oil, baobab, resurrection plant, green rooibos tea extract, and peptides to help keep dark circles or puffiness to a minimum.

For your most youthful-looking skin, you’re going to want to incorporate at least one resurfacing mask into your skincare routine on a weekly basis. Ranavat’s is a great pick because it contains a unique organic blend of Ayurvedic botanicals and papaya enzymes to gently exfoliate the skin.

For my face oil–loving folks, Le Prunier’s Plum Beauty Oil is a good one to add to your arsenal. It helps to balance and refresh your skin with a blend of plum varietals, vitamins A and E, antioxidants, omega fatty acids, and polyphenols, which protect from environmental stress.

Drier skin types will love this Moisturizing Flower Balm from herbalist-formulated Zizia Botanicals. It’s definitely a heavier moisturizer but contains nutrient-rich organic ingredients like calendula flower extract, rose-hip oil, squalane, and lavender flower extract.

Typology’s cleansing oil also contains 99% natural ingredients and is great for removing makeup or double cleansing. It contains plant-based oils that enrich the skin and leave it looking brighter and softer.
