All the Ways to Wear is a monthly series where we round up the personal twists the Who What Wear team is putting on one particular item, style, or trend. Whether it’s the trending denim of the moment or the season’s It print, we hope to inspire your daily outfits and up the cost per wear on some of our favorite items.

Our love affair with the perfect jeans is one that always ebbs and flows. For a while, we couldn’t get enough of skinny silhouettes (sorry, Gen-Z), and now, inky wide-leg pairs are on our minds. Here at Who What Wear, we know a good pair of jeans when we see one, and the AG Deven style fits the bill. (And when we say “fits the bill,” we mean we’re obsessed.)

Here just in time for the holidays, the Deven jeans (in this deliciously dark wash called “Jurisdiction”) are a perfect winter wardrobe addition. Here’s how five Who What Wear editors are styling them right now.

“Lately, my go-to outfit has been an oversize blazer and tailored trousers—at least, until I found these jeans,” says our editorial director, Lauren Eggersten. “The silhouette of these jeans reads just as polished as a trouser but is ten times more wearable thanks to the denim material. The rise hits just where I like it to and pairs perfectly with everything from the go-to cropped cardigan pictured here to my embarrassingly large collection of white T-shirts. While I know there are hundreds of ways to style these jeans, I have a feeling a big blazer, a crop top, and strappy heels will be the move for me for many more days to come.”

Los Angeles–based editor Anneliese Dominguez has somewhat of a die-hard love for her jeans. “Denim has a special place in my heart during fall and winter. So it’s no surprise that I’ve been turning to this ultra-chic wide-leg pair all season long,” she says. “They’re so easy to dress up or dress down. I really can wear them for any occasion. For this particular look, I went with an easy white turtleneck, square-toe boots, and my personal favorite, a matching cropped jacket. It can sometimes be risky, but in this case, the denim-on-denim look just works.”

“Lately, When it comes to jeans, if they’re not super wide-cut, I don’t want them,” senior editor Kristen Nichols says. “I particularly love trouser-inspired styles like this that instantly read as polished and tailored. I practically live in bodysuits, so I paired the jeans with a beige turtleneck here, along with some pointed kitten heels for a transitional look that works perfectly with my current L.A. wardrobe. As things start to cool down, I’ll layer a jacket on top or swap in a chunky knit and sleek boots.”

Senior Director of Branded Content Natalie Cantell has a knack for elevated and cool outfits. She explains, “Some things are non-negotiable in my winter wardrobe, like my love of dark, inky denim and any kind of ribbed knit, but I’m here to play in terms of proportions. This knit set feels extra polished with my AG jeans. I love that they almost read like trousers with their wide-leg and nipped-in high waist. It’s a polished, put-together vibe, but the relaxed silhouette of the denim and cardigan is doing the work to keep things casual and feeling modern. If you know me, you know that I think creamy boots and layers are a risky choice, but they look so fresh and make me happy—so here we are, living life on the edge.”

“I’ve been searching for a pair of super dark-wash jeans to introduce into my fall and winter wardrobe for a while, mostly because of how elevated they look when paired with the right things. These check off that box and more,” says Eliza Huber, one of our newest editors at Who What Wear. “Because of the caramel-colored seams, I paired them with a top and bralette that are the same color (I love a subtle color-coordination moment) and cream accessories. I love the look because it feels very sophisticated thanks to the jeans’ front-leg crease, high rise, and ultra-wide leg. But they can also feel sexy with the sheer top and tall pumps. What more can you ask for from a pair of jeans?”

Editors love them for a reason.

Yes, the Jurisdiction wash comes with a matching jacket (see Anneliese’s outfit) that’s cropped just so.

Lighter denim, you say? This is it.

This black wash really takes the polish up a notch.
