US retail sales slowed month on month (MoM) in September, but YoY increases remain strong, the latest CNBC-NRF Retail Monitor shows.
Total retail sales, excluding automobiles and gasoline, were down by 0.66 per cent MoM seasonally adjusted, but up by 5.42 per cent YoY unadjusted in September.
Sales at clothing and accessories stores were down by 1.06 per cent MoM, but up by 7.35 per cent YoY.
