The EU Parliament has endorsed reduced reporting duties and due diligence requirements for companies.
Parliament members consider that only businesses employing on an average over 1,750 employees and with a net annual turnover of over €450 million should have to carry out social and environmental reporting.
Reporting standards would be further simplified and reduced, and smaller firms would be protected.
