Solvay and Sapio have signed a 10-year pact to produce renewable hydrogen at Solvay’s Rosignano site.
Sapio will build a 5 MW electrolysis unit powered by Solvay’s 10 MW solar plant, cutting CO2 at the site by up to 15 per cent.
Set for mid-2026, the €16 million (~$18.44 million)-funded project will supply renewable hydrogen for Solvay’s peroxide production.
