Simply put, it’s our job to find the best beauty products out there for you. From the newest serum to the hottest lipstick color to the dry shampoo that will change your life, we will find it, test it, and let you know what we think. We’re not complaining. It’s a pretty fun gig, and we’ll volunteer to be beauty guinea pigs any day.
But one of the cool things to come out of this is finding out what products you’re loving and buying. It helps us figure out what you want to learn more about and what you’re into so we can bring even more personalized recs to you.
Because we share a lot of our favorites with you every single day, we recognize it might be hard to keep up. So we’ve decided to put together a handy weekly list of what we love and what you love—consider this a CliffsNotes, one-stop shop of what’s really trending and worth adding to your cart at this very moment.
This week, I’m sharing all the body care items I’ve got on my list this year to overhaul my routine. Take a look at what the Who What Wear universe (including editors, staffers, and readers) is obsessed with right now, and if you don’t see a new favorite on this list, we’d love to know. Send us a DM .
I’m intrigued by the concept of dry-brushing. It’s supposed to exfoliate your skin, detoxify the body, improve the appearance of cellulite, and increase circulation. All of that sounds really promising, and the jury is still out on whether it really does all the things, but it’s definitely on my list to try this year.
As someone who has used the same drugstore body lotion for years, I’m ready to branch out now. It’s not that my tried-and-true product isn’t working for me anymore, but I just think a change will be nice. My colleagues rave about Nécessaire’s body lotion, saying it’s so smoothing and nonirritating, so I think I’ll start there. Plus, the fact that it’s fragrance-free is music to my sensitive skin.
Full body means even my nails, too. I’ve been guilty of neglecting them, but this oil will help soften and nourish my cuticles and nails. It will be especially helpful during this dry-everything season.
I already own and love these bath salts, and they still have a place in my beauty and wellness routine. Whenever I’ve had a long day or need to soothe some muscles, a sprinkle of these in a nice, warm bath feels heavenly.
Even in non-pandemic times, I let my hair air-dry most days, so not much has changed in the hair-maintenance department. However, I am looking for a hair towel that is a little bit gentler on my strands. This hair turban is ultra-absorbent and minimizes frizz, split ends, and breakage.
So many people rave about Augustinus Bader’s cult favorite, The Cream, so I’m curious about the brand’s newish body oil. Infused with olive oil, essential fatty acids, squalane, and vitamin E, it’s supposed to leave your skin with a dewy glow and reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks.
Bodycare means from your head to your toes, so I can’t forget my feet. Like my cuticles, I’m also guilty of neglecting my feet. This ultra-rich and luxe foot cream has a warming sensation and will smooth any skin. It also has antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory benefits. It might be the next best thing to a spa pedicure!
This body lotion is always a best seller with Who What Wear readers. The anti-aging formula exfoliates away dead skin cells and promotes collagen production. Your skin will look much healthier and brighter.
Another favorite with readers and editors alike, this scalp massager can help you shampoo and clean your hair, but it also stimulates the scalp. Plus, who doesn’t want a stress-relieving scalp massage?
Dealing with dry skin can feel like an uphill battle during wintertime. This ultra-rich and affordable cream will smooth over any dry patches and cracked skin. I plan on using this on my elbows, knees, and legs—spots where my skin tends to get extra dry.
I made the switch to bar soaps last year, but I still like to have a body cleanser at hand when I feel like changing things up. This gel body cleanser has chamomile, bergamot, and rose, a combo that sounds so refreshing and relaxing to me.
You can’t forget about sunscreen. I recently swapped in this sunscreen spray from EltaMD, and it’s been a game changer for me. It provides so much protection but doesn’t leave my skin greasy or sticky. It doesn’t spray on with an invisible coat, and you do have to rub it in, but I find it helps me make sure I get every nook and cranny covered.
I’m keeping this body scrub in my rotation even after this overhaul. It’s so gentle yet effective. I use it on my bikini area, and it really keeps the ingrown hairs away. Bonus points: It doesn’t leave your skin dry at all.
Like I said before, I stick to bar soaps these days, and it’s been fun experimenting with ones that I’ve never tried before. This one from Herbivore Botanicals is on my list. It’s formulated for dry and sensitive skin and contains French pink clay to cleanse and geranium and blood orange essential oils to balance the skin and smooth the skin’s texture.
For days when I really want a luxe and ultra-moisturizing experience, I plan on reaching for Mutha’s Body Butter. It’s a favorite with many of my colleagues, so it’s made my wish list. The natural body soufflé softens and smooths skin while improving inflammation and the appearance of stretch marks.
My scalp has been through its ups and downs during quarantine. During the times when it’s “off,” it can feel super itchy and irritated. I recently discovered this serum that balances and detoxifies the scalp, making it feel so much healthier.
And of course, hand sanitizers are still a must-have (and a body concern!). This one from DS & Durga is on my list because it features the fragrance brand’s best-selling scent, Big Sur After Rain. It’s definitely a step up from your usual hand-sanitizer formulas. Next up, The 10 Worst Things You Can Put on Your Face, According to a Cosmetic Chemist
