Turkiye’s consumer inflation eased to 32.61 per cent year-on-year in May 2026, down from 35.41 per cent a year earlier, according to TurkStat.
Monthly CPI rose by 1.71 per cent, while core inflation excluding food and energy increased by 31.30 per cent annually and 2.87 per cent monthly.
The CPI rose 16.61 per cent from December 2025, indicating inflationary pressures remain elevated despite moderation.
