Fact: I never thought I would need a fragrance from a lingerie brand until La Perla came along and proved me otherwise. The brand sells the most sophisticated undergarments, yet somehow, the perfumes are low-key even better. Each has charm, opulence, and an irresistible quality to it that I truly can’t even explain with words. You’ll just have to smell for yourself.

Although most of the brand’s scents lean floral, don’t let that deter you if you tend to like earthy or musky scents. There’s honestly something for everyone. Some carry headier notes like cedarwood and vetiver, while others contain ylang-ylang and sparkling aldehydes (an intoxicating ingredient used in some of today’s most iconic perfumes). Enough talking—it’s time to get scrolling so you can fall in love with them. Below, check out the best La Perla perfumes that are worthy of adding to your collection.

Key notes: violet leaves, jasmine, vetiver. The violet leaves in this fragrance really leave a lasting impression. It’s bold and is complemented so nicely by subtler notes of neroli and a heady base of vetiver. Per the name, it may even be worthy of becoming your signature scent.

Key notes: bergamot, yuzu, violet leaves, jasmine, neroli, elemi, vetiver, musk

Key notes: freesia, rose, vanilla. Possibilities is a true floral delight on top of a radiant vanilla base. It’s warm, inviting, and a tad spicy with other notes of freesia and black currant.

Key notes: orange, patchouli, Turkish rose

Key notes: green mandarin, neroli, amber. Fresh and zesty, this perfume opens with notes of blood orange, green mandarin, and grapefruit. The dry-down showcases the rich citrus notes and earthy base of neroli and amber. It’s basically a vacation in a bottle.

Key notes: bitter orange, green mandarin, orange blossom, neroli, opoponax

Key notes: saffron, damask rose, cedarwood. I won’t lie. I don’t always love the smell of saffron, but when mixed with damask rose and cedarwood, I have to say it’s a winning combination. Saffron along with pink and black pepper adds a real spiciness to the aroma that gives it a leg up on your classic rose perfume. At the base, you have a woodier mix of amber tobacco and musk that really reminds me of Byredo’s Young Rose in the best way possible.

Key notes: Sichuan pepper, ambrette seeds, damascena rose, orris, musk, Ambroxan

Key notes: aldehydes, ylang-ylang, Sorbettolide. I’m personally a big fan of blending florals with sweet, earthier notes like patchouli and musk. It’s the best of both worlds, and Invisible Touch offers that and more. Notes of pink pepper, rose petals, and ylang-ylang open softly in the fragrance, while aldehydes amp up the floral notes and give them a little extra sparkle.

Key notes: aldehydes, jasmine, neroli, sandalwood

Key notes: pink pepper, sweet pea, moss. This dreamy scent is one of the best La Perla perfumes for its silky notes of sweet pea and moss. It truly does smell like the warm, damp earth that would be present in a magical secret garden. It’s fresh and ethereal with just a hint of heat.

Key notes: pink peppercorn, Egyptian orange flower, Turkish rose absolute, orris

Key notes: lavender, orange blossom, vanilla. This fragrance opens rather crisp with notes of bergamot and zesty lemon but then expands into floral territory with notes of lavender, orange blossom, and exotic jasmine. Like all great perfumes, it smells best when you let it dry down and really bloom for a few hours. It smells exquisite and glides on an undercurrent of sandalwood and vanilla.

Top notes: bergamot, tea, lychee, jasmine, peach, freesia, vanilla, patchouli, musk

Key notes: cardamom, tuberose, sandalwood. Typically, cardamom isn’t a spice I wouldn’t think to place in a perfume, but it smells incredibly delicious in this aromatic scent. It also features classic notes like ylang-ylang, tuberose, sandalwood, and patchouli that create an alchemical dance you’ll never want to stop wearing.

Key notes: bergamot, mandarin, jasmine, tuberose, gardenia, musk, sandalwood
