At this point, whenever Nordstrom drops a sale it’s virtually a holiday. It’s not uncommon to catch the final drip of end-of-season sales around this time in January, but few rival Nordstrom’s expansive selection of epic markdowns. So when the retailer launched a semi-sale a few days ago, I stopped everything to see what was up. And scan every corner I did—precisely 400 plus pages of boots, dresses, denim, sweaters and more.

Many tired eyes and fatigued fingers later (because I’m just that dedicated), I found the most compelling fashion buys of the bunch. It’s great news if a wardrobe refresh or trend experiment is on the seasonal agenda—there were so many great designer discounts included in the sale like Prada and The Row for 60% off. But if your budget calls for staples that are more affordable, of course, there’s plenty of that too. Ahead, keep scrolling to shop the deals that trump the rest.

I was also shocked by the price.

This would look phenomenal with mom jeans and heels for the night, or tapered trousers with flats for the day.

501s are the backbone of any fashion person’s denim collection.

The discount is unreal (and oh so worth it).

Oversized blazers really do make everything look infinitely cooler.

Wearing this and watching Netflix on my couch is my idea of heaven.

Tube tops are getting a second wind this season.

It’s true, a leather trenchcoat makes everything look cooler.

These are currently in my cart, so you know it’s real.

Yes, another poplin shirt. It’s just so necessary.

A white top with a little razzle-dazzle in the form of a flattering neckline and corsetry.

While certainly trendy now, it’s not too much that it won’t be relevant next season.

File this under going-out sweaters.

This might just be the greatest work bag of all time.

Quilted coats are some of the most comfortable, ever.

Another one of those unicorn designer finds.

Since it’s the era of cool flats.

Get into this hourglass shape.

A cute top like this will get plenty of use.

Leave it to The Attico to come up with a bag this fun and cute.

It’s always a good idea to grab denim while its on sale.

Trendy-ish basics make the task of putting together outfits so much easier.

You know what they say about April showers, so yes, it’s absolutely smart to get a trench now.

Red work pants just might be what your office ‘fits are missing.

Sure it’ll be a few months until these become fully useful, but for this price, it’s totally worth it to buy now.

It’s almost pretty dress season (aka spring).

Now’s the chance to add a classic to your collection.

Rusty browns and army green are popular outerwear colors right now, so buying this jacket just makes sense.

Invest in the classics.

There are only a few sizes available, but if one of them happens to be yours, it’s your lucky day.

Biker jackets are ruling 2023.

Until it’s 30 degrees and ice cold, you never realize the value of a high-neck sweater.

One can never own too many leather pants.

Truly the definition of a power blazer.

No brand does denim like Madewell.

Call me the queen of cable knits.

Fashion editors know: Gia Borghini is a brand to have in your shoe lineup.

So pretty.

This shade of pink is gorgeous, yet also surprisingly versatile.

My colleagues love Agolde denim.

A shoe to keep everyone enthralled.

I love a black bag you can sling over easily, and complements everything.
