Right now, it feels like the fixation on Barbie in the beauty world is inescapable. Brands are releasing Barbie collabs left and right, all pink everything is taking over, and you can’t go anywhere without hearing someone say “Barbiecore.” While we’re as infatuated with Margot Robbie’s Barbie looks as anyone, something else has caught our attention: Emily Blunt’s Oppenheimer looks.

Both movies are set to release tomorrow (fans have coined the double feature Barbenheimer), and in anticipation, we’re drooling over Blunt’s impossibly effortless-looking press tour looks. Who What Wear got the exclusive on Blunt’s Oppenheimer looks, which celebrity makeup artist Jenn Streicher created using all Violette_FR products.

“The whole styling of the press tour was a nod to the Oppenheimer period, the 40s,” says Streicher. “We really were kind of playing off of that.”

Streicher explains that Blunt tends to be pretty minimal with her hair and makeup, and the press tour was able to play into that minimalism while still having some fun with it. Violette_FR was the perfect brand for Streicher to partner with for these looks—the Parisian makeup products, created by French makeup artist Violette Serrat, manages to capture French elegance in each of their formulas. The products are simple but maintain the kind of playful spirit you might expect from a brand with self-expression at its heart. Keep reading for the key products that Streicher used on Blunt (plus some BTS images exclusive to Who What Wear).

“The biggest thing with Emily and I when it comes to makeup is skin prep,” says Streicher. She says she always starts with C’est La Cream, a lightweight, velvet-finish barrier cream that plays nicely with makeup.

This 3-in-1 toner, serum, and moisturizer is one of Violette_FR’s hero products that’s been a crowd-favorite ever since the brand launched. “Throughout the process, I use the Boum-Boum Milk spray,” says Streicher. “I even love to spray it on my BeautyBlender when I do any kind of blending. It’s such a great tool to have and used it on every single look that we did.”

Streicher reached for a variety of different Yeux Paint colors for Blunts looks (ICYWW, she used Petite Culotte, Tout Doux, Poison des Delices, Reve de Dahlia, and Blue de Minuit). “They’re a perfect makeup for a long day because they don’t budge once you put the eye paints on,” says Streicher. “They just last forever. And I know people get a little intimidated by using them, but they’re really so nice to work with. I usually just do one eye at a time or work with one eye. I put on the first layer and kind of do my blending before it dries too much.”

This highlighter stick found its way into every single one of Blunt’s looks. “It just gave like the perfect amount of like shine without the glitter,” says Streicher.

This blush has marbled pigments that help give you a multi-dimensional flush. “I love anything in a stick,” says Streicher. “They’re so easy to use. [It’s] such an easy application yet it looks so beautiful.”

“The Bisou Balm, which was the lip color that we used on Emily, was like the perfect lipstick,” says Streicher. “Emily was a little hesitant at first because it is more of a matte finish, but it kind of was perfect for the look. It’s a diffused, almost airbrushed lip color. She ended up loving it and and stealing it from me so I’m going to have to get another one of those.”
