At the end of every year, Pantone chooses a color to define the year ahead. The color choice is often incredibly apt. Last year, Viva Magenta seemed to perfectly predict the Barbiecore moment that 2023 was about to go through for the majority of the year. In 2021, Pantone chose two shades—Illuminating, a vibrant yellow, and Ultimate Grey, a classic slate—that encapsulated the hope and fear the world felt in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
This year, Pantone chose Peach Fuzz, a light, effervescent shade of peach. Peach Fuzz feels like the natural progression from millennial pink—it’s a bit warmer and feels more inviting.

An appealing peach hue softly nestled between pink and orange, Peach Fuzz inspires belonging, recalibration, and an opportunity for nurturing, conjuring up an air of calm, offering us a space to be, feel, and heal and to flourish from.”
