Between Jan-Sept, South Africa’s textile imports rose by 8.4 per cent to 48,323.5 million Rand ($2,756.52 million) compared to the same period in 2023.
Exports, however, declined by 0.8 per cent to 16,825.9 million Rand ($959.76 million).
In September alone, imports fell by 6.8 per cent year-on-year, while exports increased by 11.2 per cent, signalling a shift in trade dynamics from August 2024.
