UNCTAD recently recommended least developed countries (LDCs) and their development partners to focus on three key priorities to enhance the benefits of carbon markets for these countries: strengthening domestic frameworks, expanding international partnerships and prioritising capacity-building.
LDCs can use carbon market projects to support their development if managed well, a UNCTAD report said.
