New orders for manufactured goods in the US in September fell by 0.5 per cent month on month (MoM) to $584.2 billion, the Census Bureau said. These were down in four of the last five months.
Shipments, down in two consecutive months, fell by 0.4 per cent MoM to $586.9 billion in the month.
Unfilled orders, up in 49 of the last 50 months, rose by 0.2 per cent MoM to $1,391 billion in September.
