The seasonally-adjusted producer price index for final demand in the US rose by 0.2 per cent in December 2024, the Bureau of Labour Statistics said.
This rise can be attributed to a 0.6-per cent rise in the index for final demand for goods in the month—the third consecutive advance.
The unadjusted index for final demand rose by 3.3 per cent in 2024 after rising by 1.1 per cent in 2023.
