The Cotton Association of India (CAI) raised 2024-25 cotton production estimates to 304.25 lakh bales and total supply to 359.44 lakh bales, including imports of 25 lakh bales.
Domestic consumption rose to 315 lakh bales, while exports remain at 18 lakh bales, down 10.36 lakh bales from last season.
Closing stock is estimated at 26.44 lakh bales.
