UK manufacturing production, new orders and employment continued to contract in January as companies faced weak market conditions at home and abroad, according to S&P Global manufacturing PMI.
Optimism amongst manufacturers remained at one of its weakest levels in the month over the past two years.
Supply chains remained under duress in the month, which saw a resurgence in price pressures.
