The mood among Dutch consumers was more negative in February this year than in January for the fifth consecutive month, according to Statistics Netherlands.
Consumer confidence stood at minus 32 in February compared with minus 28 in January.
The figure is well below minus 10, the long-term average for the last 20 years.
Opinions about both the economic climate and willingness to buy deteriorated.
