US retail sales rose moderately in March after two months of declines, with total sales (excluding autos and fuel) up 0.6 per cent MoM and 4.75 per cent YoY, according to the NRF.
Core retail sales grew 0.4 per cent MoM and 5.07 per cent YoY.
Gains were partly driven by pre-tariff stocking, amid rising consumer concerns and weakening sentiment following President Trump’s tariff announcements.
