China’s consumer price index (CPI) fell by 0.1 per cent YoY and rose by 0.1 per cent month on month (MoM) in April, official data show.
Core CPI, which excludes food and energy prices, rose by 0.5 per cent YoY in the month.
For the January-April period, CPI averaged a 0.1-per cent decline YoY.
The country’s producer price index went down by 2.7 per cent YoY and 0.4 per cent MoM in April.
