Euro area inflation holds at 2.2% in April; EU rate eases to 2.4%

In April 2025, euro area inflation held steady at 2.2 per cent, down from 2.4 per cent a year earlier, as per Eurostat.
EU inflation dipped to 2.4 per cent.
France had the lowest rate (0.9 per cent), while Romania led with 4.9 per cent.
Inflation dropped in 13 member states.
Services contributed most to euro area inflation, while energy had a negative impact.
