The OECD unemployment rate was stable at 4.9 per cent in April, having been at or below 5 per cent for the past three years.
The number of unemployed also showed little change, totalling 34.4 million in the month.
Compared with March, unemployment rates in April were unchanged in 22 OECD countries, declined in seven and rose in four.
These rates for women and men remained broadly stable in April.
