UK industrial production fell 0.6 per cent in April 2025, following a 0.7 per cent drop in March, driven by declines in manufacturing and energy output.
Despite this, output rose 1.1 per cent in the three months to April, led by a 1.2 per cent rise in manufacturing.
Textiles, apparel and leather (up 5.5 per cent) and machinery (up 3.2 per cent) were key contributors to the quarterly growth.
