AE Elemental opened its first commercial-scale EV battery recycling facility in Zawiercie, Poland.
Capable of processing 12,000 metric tons of used Li-ion batteries annually, it’s one of Europe’s largest.
The facility will produce black mass for new battery materials and will add lithium extraction capabilities by 2026.
The venture also plans to build Europe’s largest facility in Germany.
