Alpek will cease operations at its Cedar Creek facility in North Carolina by July 31, 2025.
The site, with a capacity of 170,000 tons of PET resin and 35,000 tons of rPET flake, will have its production reallocated to other assets.
This move aligns with Alpek’s strategy to optimise its global footprint and is expected to save $20 million annually by 2026.
