The amount of freight passing through the main UK ports rose by 5 per cent YoY in Q1 2025 to 107.4 million tonnes, according to the country’s transport department.
While outbound tonnage rose by a little less than 1 per cent YoY to 34.6 million tonnes, inward freight increased by 7 per cent to 72.8 million tonnes during Q1.
