Annual inflation rises to 2% in euro area in Oct from 1.7% in Sept

The euro area annual inflation rate was 2 per cent in October, up from 1.7 per cent in September, Eurostat said. A year earlier, the rate was 2.9 per cent.
Annual inflation in the EU was 2.3 per cent in October, up from 2.1 per cent in September. A year earlier, it was 3.6 per cent.
Compared with September, annual inflation fell in two member states, remained stable in six and rose in 19.
