Arkema has completed a €40 million (~$46.57 million) modernisation of its Lacq/Mourenx site, cutting SO₂ emissions by 40 per cent and GHGs by over 10 per cent.
The new process treats sulfur-based effluents and produces reusable sulfuric acid, supporting circular economy goals.
Partly funded by France 2030 via ADEME, the project advances Arkema’s decarbonisation efforts.
