As Bangladesh apparel industry leaders yesterday demanded more security, with production in 100 export units halting amid labour unrest, the government ordered a joint operation by the Army, police and industrial police in major industrial hubs of Savar, Ashulia and Gazipur to control the unrest.
Owners were asked to keep factories open beginning today.
