ASEAN manufacturing sector health sees fractional improvement in Sept

The ASEAN manufacturing sector’s health saw only a fractional improvement in September, S&P Global said.
Output levels in the area contracted for the first time in three years, albeit only with a shallow decline.
Growth in new orders slowed on the month in September. Weaker demand trends led to a fresh decline in output.
However, ASEAN manufacturers hope output will grow over the next 12 months.
