Australia’s CPI rose 3.5 per cent in the 12 months to July 2024, down from 3.8 per cent in June.
Clothing and footwear prices increased by 1.9 per cent, with garments up 3.1 per cent.
The CPI excluding volatile items and holiday travel was 3.7 per cent, down from 4 per cent, while the trimmed mean CPI was 3.8 per cent, down from 4.1 per cent.
