Bangladesh’s industries ministry is formulating an SME Policy 2025, SME Foundation chairperson Mohammad Mushfiqur Rahman has said.
The 2019 SME Policy will expire soon.
The new five-year SME Policy is scheduled to come into effect in July and end in June 2030, he said.
SMEs contribute nearly 28 per cent to the country’s GDP and account for 85 per cent of industrial sector jobs.
