Bangladesh’s unemployment rate in the first quarter (Q1, July-September) of FY25 rose a bit to 4.49 per cent from 4.07 per cent in the same quarter of the last fiscal, official statistics show.
The number of people without work in Q1 FY25 was over 2.6 million compared to 2.4 million in the same period a year ago.
That makes the rise in the number of unemployed in the country 170,000 in a year.
