It’s no secret that Tik Tok loves an aesthetic. Actually, that’s an understatement. Tik Tok is the place where aesthetics are born and raised. In recent memory, I can name the grandmacore, princesscore, and dark academia aesthetics, and that’s barely scratching the surface of what’s out there.  The latest aesthetic to take over Tik Tok is a little more nostalgic than others that have come before it. It’s called Barbiecore, and it has everything to do with mimicking the style of the famous doll. (It undoubtedly has a lot to do with the upcoming Margot Robbie movie, but as far as I’m concerned, Tik Tok is the ultimate decider of what becomes an aesthetic).  It started out as mainly a fashion trend, but it’s since made its way into beauty. Now, influencers, editors, and celebrities are all wearing pink makeup looks, ranging from bright plastic pink to soft and subtle. If this glittery pink look is any indication, Gigi Hadid seems to approve of the Barbiecore aesthetic. I love how she combined her bold eye makeup with nude lipstick and an imperfect updo. It’s anything but kitschy.

SZA makes a case for maximalism, matching her hair to her eyeshadow.

Camila Cabello is giving a disco Barbie vibe with this glittery pink makeup look.

While the hair is giving obvious Barbiecore vibes, take notice of Megan Fox’s subtle makeup in this picture. She has a pop of hot pink placed under each lower lash line.

It doesn’t get much more Barbiecore than this pink lip and cheek combo on Adriana Lima. Her makeup artist, Patrick Ta, used the Major Beauty Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush in She’s a Doll ($34) to create the diffused, flushed look.

Yes, Camila Cabello makes the list twice, as does Patrick Ta, her makeup artist. I love everything about this look. It’s perfectly maximalist and monochrome at its finest.

If you’re averse to bold makeup looks or maybe you want to dip your toe into the trend without committing to too bright of a hue, follow Hailey Bieber’s lead. She proves that Barbiecore can be subtle. All you need is a tinted lip balm, some blush, and lengthening mascara.

This iconic Dior blush, which is finally back in stock, practically screams Barbie. I’m adding it to my cart before it sells out again.

I’ve been loving these tinted lip balms lately. They provide much-needed hydration and a sheer wash of color. They’re wonderfully low-effort, which is why I keep one in my bag and my car.

Here’s another tinted lip balm I love. Even though it costs about the same as a morning latte, it performs as well as other products that are more than triple its price.

This waterproof eyeliner is hot pink with silver sparkle. It’s totally maximalist, and I love it.

For a matte pink eyeliner, look no further than this budget-friendly pencil from NYX.

This pink eyeshadow trio makes it easy to create a Barbiecore eye makeup look.

This soft pink shimmer compliments every skin tone and every eye color. Use it alone or as an eyeshadow topper for a little bit of added dimension.

I love a multitasking makeup product, and this is one of the best. I use it on my cheeks, lips, and even my eyes when I’m in a pinch. It helps me create an easy monochromatic makeup look.

Another iconic Dior product, this lip oil is a social media sensation, and for good reason. It has a silky, moisturizing formula that makes the lips look plump and shiny.

The iconic NARS Orgasm Blush is definitely Barbiecore-appropriate.

Trust me, Barbiecore nails are the next evolution for this trend. I’m stocking up on pink polishes, like this super shiny bubblegum pink, to stay ahead of the game.

For a more subtle take on Barbiecore nails, try a soft and sweet shade of pink, like this one from Smith & Cult. It’s giving corporate Barbie vibes.

Here’s a liquid highlighter that will add a subtle pink radiance to any Barbiecore makeup look.

This matte lipstick is fully opaque and lasts for hours without a touch-up.

This is a foolproof pink highlighter. Use the cushion applicator to apply a couple of dots of the product to your cheekbones and blend out with your fingers or a brush. It’s that easy.
