BASF will cease production of adipic acid, cyclododecanone (CDon), and cyclopentanone (CPon) at its Ludwigshafen site by 2025, as part of a strategic review to maintain competitiveness.
Production of adipic acid will continue in Onsan, South Korea, and Chalampé, France locations.
The closures aim to ensure profitability across BASF’s value chains.
