Bayer has announced its first carbon credits from thousands of Indian rice farmers adopting regenerative practices like direct seeded rice (DSR).
Validated by Gold Standard, up to 250,000 tonnes of CO2e credits will support emissions cuts and water savings.
The programme, spanning 11 Indian states, marks Bayer’s first carbon credit issuance in Asia from regenerative crop production.
