In 2019, Ty Haney, the founder of Outdoor Voices, made a lasting impression on the Second Life podcast. Not only was she just at the ripe age of 24 when the brand was founded in 2014, but she also redefined the buzzy term “athleisure.” Today, Haney returns with a new narrative, revealing how her life has evolved since she departed from Outdoor Voices in 2021. Taking her key learnings from her first venture with Outdoor Voices—where she inspired millions to move their bodies for fun and in style—Haney has launched a new venture: Try Your Best (TYB), a Web3 community commerce tool.

With the firm belief that the future of brand building relies on co-creation and incentivization, TYB is a blockchain-based platform connecting brands to consumers for feedback, rewarding those who share their insights with digital collectibles (NFTs) and brand coins that can be put toward purchases. Impressively, just last month, Haney closed 10 million dollars in the second round of seed funding for TYB, and she’s not stopping there. She also just launched Joggy, a line of energetic, CBD-infused products that help support daily activity and recovery, on the TYB platform.

Listen to the latest episode of Second Life to hear the story behind how Haney successfully pivoted to the world of tech while still maintaining the goal of helping consumers manifest their healthiest life.
