In July 2024, cotton prices reached their highest monthly average since March 2024 due to limited supply and firm seller pricing.
However, some sellers dropped prices to sell off the 2022-23 crop or secure short-term cash.
The monthly average price of BRL 4.0793/pound (~$0.71/pound) was up 3.76 per cent from June and 3.1 per cent from July 2023.
