California’s Responsible Textile Recovery Act of 2024 was recently signed into law by the US state’s governor Gavin Newsom, Democrat Senator Josh Newman announced yesterday.
The law creates a framework for producers and other participants in the value chain to take responsibility for the entire lifecycle of their products and textiles, including repair, recycling and reuse of garments and fibres
