You may have heard me say this before, but I have exactly one rule when it comes to luxury skincare. I’ll pay the higher price point as long as it’s effective and works quickly. One such brand that I think fits the bill is celebrity-loved brand Retrouvé. I first discovered its lush and rich formulas from none other than my fave, Zoë Kravitz. If you’re also a Kravitz stan, you know what I’m talking about. Kravitz raved about Retrouvé’s Nutrient Face Serum ($325) and Revitalizing Eye Concentrate ($215) a few years back when she shared her beauty secrets with Vogue. Additionally, Kravitz has also mentioned that she loves the brand’s Luminous Cleansing Elixir ($75) and uses it in her rotation of daily cleansers. Naturally, because I will try pretty much anything and everything this woman is putting on her face, I decided it was time to give the brand a go for myself.

I know that some of you might be skeptical to try a pricier luxury brand, but I’m here to report that it’s 100% worth it. Retrouvé offers a streamlined lineup of multitasking products that allow you to get the most for your money. The brand even sources many of its natural ingredients directly on its family-owned ranch in Malibu. To take it a step further, the unique triple airless protection system used to house each product ensures that the product won’t oxidize or be exposed to harmful bacteria. This also allows the products to have a longer shelf life. If you’re considering trying out this gorgeous, organic brand, keep reading for my thoughts on a few of its offerings.

The Luminous Cleansing Elixir was easily one of my favorite products I tried of the bunch. It’s water-free and rich in hydrating ingredients like avocado oil, glycerin, jojoba oil, and olive fruit oil. I use it as a first step in my cleansing routine in the evening and then follow with Dermalogica’s Acne Clearing Skin Wash ($42). It really melts into your skin, rinsing away sunscreen and makeup so easily while also leaving your skin incredibly hydrated, even after going in with a water-based cleanser.

This is one of Retrouvé’s most popular (and expensive) offerings. It’s truly an all-in-one product that addresses fine lines, dullness, a damaged moisture barrier, hyperpigmentation, and depleted hydration levels all in one. Like I said, it might be an expensive product, but I love that it uses highly potent ingredients like niacinamide, squalane, THD ascorbate (a lipid-soluble form of vitamin C), panthenol, vitamin E, ceramides, peptides, and more. The brightening effect it had is the first thing that I noticed. The hydration it offers is light, but you can pair it with one of the brand’s other moisturizers to provide that really long-lasting hydration.

Similar to the brand’s Nutrient Face Serum, the Eye Concentrate offers many of the same highly beneficial ingredients, but tailored to the delicate skin around the eye area. Normally, I can’t condone paying over $75 for an eye cream, but this one is the exception. It really helps with any dark circles and crow’s feet. The texture is really silky and just glides along the eye area. I can definitely see why Kravitz loves and uses this one the most along with the brand’s face serum. They sink in quickly and you start to see results within a week or so of using them.

This conditioning tonic from the brand lightly clarifies the skin and really helped calm any redness I was dealing with around my nose area. My moisture-barrier has been a bit damaged and this helps calm the skin while providing light and nonirritating exfoliation.

These priming pads are also on my list of favorites from the brand. It’s hard to single out one or two standout products because each is so good, but I love how effective these are without causing any irritation. They’re packed with exfoliating fruit acids that are gentle on the skin while panthenol and chamomile soothe it and add extra hydration.

I’m a huge body oil fan and this one made an amazing edition to my collection. It leaves your skin feeling so soft without feeling greasy. It contains the brand’s star ingredient, organically-sourced avocado oil and hydration-boosting squalane.

I didn’t get the chance to try one of the brand’s moisturizers, but if I did, I would go with the Dynamic Nourishing Face Cream since this one is designed for normal, dry, and sensitive skin types since it contains ingredients that are extra soothing. For even more added moisture, the brand will also be releasing a Balancing Face Oil later this month that I happened to get my hands on. It leaves your skin silky soft and is a beautiful add-on to the face serum and other moisturizers.

The Intensive Replenishing Moisturizer is designed for dry and mature skin types who could use a little extra hydration.

I always talk about this cream from Luzern because it’s one of the best I have ever used. It brightens the skin, gives it all the nutrients it needs, and keeps your skin hydrated for hours on end.

I know what you’re thinking. “In what world would I pay $95 for a lip balm?” Yes, it is expensive, but this formula is one of the best I’ve used that keeps my lips hydrated over night and well into the next day.
