China’s consumer price index (CPI) was down by 0.1 per cent YoY and 0.2 per cent month on month (MoM) in May.
Core CPI, which excludes food and energy prices, climbed up by 0.6 per cent YoY in the month from a 0.5-per cent rise in April.
Meanwhile, the country’s producer price index, which measures costs for goods at the factory gate, dropped by 3.3 per cent YoY and 0.4 per cent MoM in May.
