China’s power consumption rises 4.5% in Sept, signalling steady growth

China’s electricity consumption rose 4.5 per cent year on year in September to 888.6 billion kilowatt-hours, reflecting steady economic activity, according to the National Energy Administration.
Power use in the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors grew 7.3, 5.7, and 6.3 per cent, respectively, while residential consumption declined 2.6 per cent.
