China’s power generation rose 2.5 per cent YoY in July to 883.1 billion kWh, with a 4.8 per cent increase over the first seven months of 2024.
Hydropower surged 36.2 per cent, the fastest growth among energy types, while solar power grew 16.4 per cent, and nuclear power output increased by 4.3 per cent.
Thermal power declined by 4.9 per cent.
