The Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Power & Natural Gas have facilitated a joint venture between Coal India Limited (CIL) and GAIL (India) Limited to establish a Coal to Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG) plant in West Bengal.
The plant will produce 80,000 Nm³ per hour of SNG, reducing India’s natural gas import dependency and promoting the Atmanirbhar mission.
