The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry has welcomed the new Labour Codes, citing reduced redundancies and lower informality in jobs.
It expects uniform state rules, liberal employment provisions to support PM Mitra parks, and industry-friendly overtime rates.
CITI said that better alignment with global norms will cut compliance costs and boost organised employment.
