The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) recently requested Bangladesh authorities to withdraw the restriction on operations at the Benapole land port after 6 pm so that normal business activities can be restored.
The restriction may significantly affect cross-border trade and revenue generation, cause significant financial losses to traders and raise the lead time in foreign trade, it said.
