Decisions taken at an inter-ministerial meeting yesterday chaired by commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal will significantly reduce shipping costs, improve availability of containers, resolve the issue of empty containers, lead to faster evacuation of export consignments and reduce congestion at ports.
The meeting decided to set up a multidisciplinary help desk to support exporters.
