The Drewry World Container Index (WCI) continued its decline for the fourth consecutive week, dropping 2 per cent to $5,319 per 40-feet container as of August 22.
This marks a 10.40 per cent decrease from the July peak.
Despite being 49 per cent below the pandemic peak, the index is still 274 per cent higher than 2019 pre-pandemic levels.
