Though I’m all for Dua Lipa’s extravagant ensembles—ranging from barely-there bikinis to crystal-mesh Versace dresses—sometimes even the most out-there dressers fall back on classic uniforms. And just like all of her showy outfits, the “Levitating” singer’s low-key ones are impressive to say the least. Case in point: Lipa’s look for a night out at London’s Chiltern Firehouse, a celebrity hot spot in Marylebone.

For a date with her boyfriend, French director Romain Gavras, Lipa tucked a crisp white button-down shirt into what appear to be classic Levi’s jeans, dressing up the combo with Maison Margiela Mary Jane flats, a Gucci Jackie bag, and statement Missoni earrings. Though not exactly new or shocking, the easy pairing is just the kind of outfit we need to store away in our minds right now with summer beginning to turn into fall, stirring up the need for transitional styling ideas that will always look chic. Below, see just how effortless it is to get Lipa’s look, which can be worn right now through the fall and even winter with just a few simple tweaks.

On Dua Lipa: Maison Margiela Tabi Calfskin Ballerinas ($850); Gucci Jackie 1961 Medium Shoulder Bag ($3150); Missoni earrings

When the classics go on sale, you stock up.

Don’t mind me obsessing over these ’80s-era 501s.

I love this glove-like shape.

These keep selling out and restocking, so act fast if you want a pair of your own.

Nordstrom’s in-house line is stop number one for me whenever I’m looking for a classic wardrobe item.

Madewell’s ’90s jeans fit better than half of the designer pairs I’ve tested.

Yep, these really are $34.

I’m more than a little bit obsessed with these drop earrings.

You can never have too many poplin shirts.

Levi’s Ribcage jeans are as close to perfect as it gets.

These come in so many tempting colors.

These are practically works of art.

The tie-neck detail makes this shirt ten times cooler.

Straight and low, just how I like my jeans.

Things of beauty, am I right?

When I say that these earrings live rent free in my brain, I’m not kidding.
